Siemens has again selected PROCET's PoE Injector for its smart highway project, this time to power roadside units (RSUs) and video surveillance systems along the route.
In the first phase, over 200 units were deployed and have been running steadily in real-world conditions. Following that success, an additional 300 units have been ordered and will soon be installed. The continued investment speaks for itself — PROCET’s solutions have proven stable, reliable, and well suited to demanding field environments.

The deployed model is the PROCET 60W 10G PoE Injector (PT-PSE105GB-AC-10). It is installed in roadside cabinets or weatherproof enclosures, delivering both power and data over a single Ethernet cable to:
①High-definition traffic cameras
②Roadside communication units (RSUs)
③Wireless communication devices
The injector features an integrated power supply and PSE in one unit, with a choice of AC or DC input. This flexibility allows the system to adapt to local power conditions without an external power brick — resulting in higher system stability, fewer potential failure points, and more efficient use of cabinet space.

Built to industrial standards, the injector operates from -40°C to 65°C and offers 6 kV surge protection. It handles lightning strikes, voltage fluctuations, and harsh weather with ease, keeping the system running reliably over the long term.

The solution enables integrated power and data transmission over a single cable, significantly reducing on-site cabling complexity and speeding up deployment — a clear advantage for distributed, long-distance roadside installations.
Experience from this project confirms several practical benefits of the PoE approach in smart highway scenarios:
Faster deployment – One cable for both power and data reduces construction effort.
Flexible power input – AC or DC options suit varied site conditions.
High network performance – Support for 1G/2.5G/5G/10G meets future bandwidth needs.
Robust and reliable – Industrial-grade protection lowers maintenance costs.
Easy expansion – Modular design simplifies later upgrades and scaling.
In this project, Siemens handles system integration and overall solution delivery, while PROCET focuses on the stability and industrial adaptability of the PoE power link. From the 200 stable units in the first phase to the 300 units now being added, the partnership continues to deepen. The result is a proven, repeatable approach that offers more practical value than a one-off innovation — especially for long-running, large-scale systems.
